The life of moving parts has been extended by 50-60%
“My name is Martin Dunne, I run a small company in the UK, and our business is the installation and service of spiral freezers in the food industry. We carry out work on all types of freezers but mainly Frigoscandia ball drive and wagon drive freezers.
We also work in conjunction with another company called Freezer Services, in the group we have over 300 years experience in the freezer industry. I first got involved with Frigoscandia in 1986 and our association ended in 2000. For the first few years I worked mainly in the UK Reign, from 1990 and 2000 I worked out of head quarters in Helsingborg, Sweden, where the freezers are manufactured and assembled before they are sent to customers in different reigns of the world. I travelled the world installing and servicing these freezers, I also installed several Stein Ovens in the US, Asia, and Europe during this time. Africa, Asia, China, Europe, The Middle East, The Far East, South America, USA, and Canada are reigns of the world where I carried out freezer and oven installations on behalf of Frigoscandia.
During my time in the US, I came into contact with SLFi… products in the form of low temperature food grade lubricants being used on Frigoscandia ball drive freezers, and they also blend special oil product for Stein ovens and steamers, which are being used on machines around the world. We have been supplying our customers with these products for over a decade now and I can honestly say that the life of all moving parts has been extended by at least 50-60% in the case of steel and plastic ball bearings, ball rails and rail wear profiles are clear, this can be done by regular inspection, and they should be flushed and re-primed at least once a year. The good thing about SLFi is that they will work with you to blend a product that is the best money can buy for your particular application. They have no interest in selling spare parts for freezer companies or vested interests.”
